How to Have a Home Business Party
Plan your hostess incentives.  Decide what exactly you are willing to offer them.  Free products?  "your Business money" to be used toward what they want to buy?  Don't forget to offer an incentive for sales as well as another one for additional parties they help to book for the future.

Create Postcards for your Hostesses to give out to everyone they wish to invite.  Some companies offer these to their salespeople, sometimes though, it is cheaper to just create your own.

Whenever you get together in a group for any reason:  Picking up kids from school, Holiday parties, mommy and me groups..... Let people know about your parties and your incentive plans.

Create a webpage just for party hosting information.  Let everyone know upfront exactly what you offer.  Hand out business cards with the link to this page to everyone you know who is looking for some freebies to earn.

Party Plan 1:  Host a party for a specific time to start and create games and fun for everyone to enjoy with prizes to be won.

Party Plan 2:  Host a party with an open door policy during set hours.  People can drop by when they can.  No games need to be created.  Instead, have everyone sign a paper with their name and contact info. and pull a name out of the "bowl" when the party is over for a winner, or several winners getting door prizes.

Offer cash and carry discounted items.  Set up a display with items that people can buy on the spot for cash and "carry" away that same night.  Discount the items to offer an incentive for buying right then.

Put out sign up sheets so everyone attending can get information about hosting their own party.  Be sure to let everyone who shows up see what the hostess of that party is getting for herself.

Games:

Play trivia games that relate to your products.
Play charades, have a karaoke contest, drawing contest, best use for contest.

Do make-overs, have a scavenger hunt among the catalogs or products, cooking contest, runway modeling contest.

Try to create a theme for the night.  Girls night out (clothing), Prom (make-up), Cookie party (bakeware).

Put out small snacks and drinks.  Don't break the bank or overwhelm yourself, but try to make your evening more fun and less pushy salesperson.
