Ways To Advertise Your Direct Sales Business
1.  Buy Business Cards (free at vistaprint.com - just pay shipping)  Give them to everyone!!

2.  Run an ad in your local paper.  They usually charge per word or letter, so keep it simple and to the point.  "Free" smaller newspapers are usually cheaper to advertise in.

3.  Send out a newsletter telling everyone you know about your new business.  You can send it via snail mail (like with a Christmas letter) or by email.

4. If you have a facebook page or some similiar site that you keep up with family and friends on, post about your business there.  You can even create a page just for your business. 

5.  Have an open house and invite all of your neighbors, friends and family.  Display your products and keep an open door policy between certain hours so they can feel free to drop in anytime during that time.  Put out some drinks and snacks and see if your can set up more parties at the same time for your friends to host later on.

6.  Call the local radio stations and/or news channels and ask if they will advertise your business in exchange for donations of your products that they can give away on the air.

7.  Put up bulletins and flyers everywhere that allows them.  Check out your local laundry mats, grocery stores, churches and anywhere else that has bulletin boards up.

8.  Create an email list for people to sign up for new product information and sales.  Send out bi-weekly or monthly emails to keep everyone informed and as a reminder about your business.

9.  Work your website.  Most direct sale business programs offer their affiliates websites, or create your own.  Advertise your website daily on free classified ad sites and traffic exchanges.

10.  Do you participate in online forums?  Don't forget to add a tag line to your name about your website and a link, if allowed by the moderator.

11.  Write articles and information on blogs and post your tagline there.  Choose relative articles to the type of products you sell.  Don't spam.  Put up real, informative blog posts that actually help people.

12.  Offer your products for the next fundraisers at your child's school, a local school, a daycare center, a church or other organization who routinely needs to raise money for their program.

13.  If you are a member of Ebay or another auction like it, post about your business in your profile page.

14.  Register your site on every free search engine out there.

15.  Post free ads with online classified sites if you plan on doing any recruiting.

16.  Add your business to all free online shopping directories.

17.  Add your business to all free online work at home directories.

18.  Do banner exchanges with other work at home businesses.

19.  Offer a chance to win a free product to everyone who does something on your site:  sign up for a free newsletter, buy a certain product, host a party..., then advertise your contest on free contest listing sites.

20.  If your business offers products for bridal or babies, scout the local newspapers and send a postcard offering a discount or free item with their next purchase.

21.  Contact local Bingo games put on by churches, scouts, schools and such.  Offer up a prize for a chance to put out business cards and or a flyer about your products.

22.  Place a colorful flyer about your business in your car window.  Lots of free advertising for you as you run your daily errands.

23.  Set up tables at local bazaars, fairs and such.

24.  Create flyers and go door to door in your neighborhood and local ones handing them out.  Offer time sensative discounts and promo codes.  Check with local Home Owner Association rules before doing so though.
